SABA was delighted to be involved in the recent visit to Scotland of HE Hakainde Hichilema, President of the Republic of Zambia.
Our CEO was honoured to be invited to a small private dinner with the Presidents Chief of Staff, Deputy High Commissioner, Principle of Heriot Watt University and Sam Abrahams to discuss opportunities for trade between Scotland and Zambia and in particular the role of our members to assist this.
The following day SABA attended a trade focussed round table organised by Heriot Watt and Scottish Government with Dr Situmbeko Musokotwane, Minister of Finance, and spoke of focussing on areas where real impact could be made, such as agriculture and renewable energy and again introduced the expertise of our SABA members.
At the invitation of Dr Musokotwane, SABA looks forward to furthering engagement with Zambia and will announce sector focussed meetings for members in due course.
