SABA partners with Edinburgh Business School at Heriot-Watt University to Connect Students with Global Education Opportunities

The Scottish Africa Business Association (SABA) is pleased to announce a new partnership with Edinburgh Business School at Heriot-Watt University to help connect prospective students across Africa with world-class online MBA education

The three-year agreement will see SABA promote and support recruitment to Edinburgh Business School’s online MBA programmes and courses, creating new pathways for students who want to gain internationally recognised qualifications while continuing to live and work in their home markets.

For students across Africa, access to high-quality, flexible education can play an important role in developing the skills, knowledge and leadership capabilities needed to support growing economies and businesses. Online learning can also remove some of the traditional barriers associated with international study, allowing students to access a UK university education without necessarily having to relocate.

Through SABA’s extensive networks across Africa and its connections with businesses, universities, governments and professional communities, the partnership will help raise awareness of the opportunities available through EBS’s online offering and connect interested students with the university.

Heriot-Watt University has a long history of international education and is recognised for its strong focus on business, economics, engineering, logistics technology and other professionally relevant disciplines. Edinburgh Business School provides flexible postgraduate and undergraduate study options designed to support people at different stages of their careers.

For working professionals in particular, online study can provide the flexibility to develop new expertise alongside existing professional and personal commitments.

The partnership also reflects SABA’s wider commitment to building meaningful connections between Africa and the UK – not only through trade and investment but through education, skills, knowledge exchange and professional development.

Frazer Lang, CEO of the Scottish Africa Business Association, said: “Education and skills are fundamental to economic growth, and we’re delighted to be working with the Edinburgh Business School at Heriot-Watt University to help make its online MBA opportunities more accessible to prospective students across our networks. “There is huge demand for high-quality, internationally recognised education across African markets, particularly for programmes that can be undertaken alongside a career or existing commitments. This partnership gives us an opportunity to connect talented individuals with programmes that can support their ambitions while also contributing to the development of businesses and economies across the continent.”

The partnership will initially focus on promoting EBS’s online MBA programmes and courses through SABA’s networks, with prospective students referred directly to the university for the admissions process.

The agreement brings together two organisations with a shared interest in international engagement and professional development.

Whether someone is looking to develop their leadership skills, gain a postgraduate qualification, broaden their business expertise or take the next step in their career, the partnership aims to make it easier to discover the opportunities available.

Please contact SABA in the first instance for further details and opportunities.
