The Scottish Africa Business Association (SABA) is delighted to announce that Diageo has come on board as a sponsor and partner for this year’s Scotland–Africa Networking Reception, to be held at Dover House hosted by kind permission of The Rt Hon Douglas Alexander MP, the Secretary of State for Scotland.
The reception has become one of the standout events in the SABA calendar, attracting over 80 influential guests from across the UK and Africa last year. It was widely regarded as one of the most productive and enjoyable networking events of the year, offering a platform for genuine exchange between leaders in business, government and academia. This year’s event will build on that success, bringing together partners who share a vision of deepening collaboration and expanding trade and investment links between Scotland and Africa.
Diageo’s partnership reinforces the shared commitment to inclusive, sustainable growth. With a proud heritage across Africa, Diageo employs thousands of people across the continent and continues to invest in local sourcing, skills development and community programmes. The company’s focus on sustainability and responsible drinking underpins its broader goal of creating long-term value for people and communities. From renewable energy use in its breweries to initiatives that promote moderation and empower women in the supply chain, Diageo continues to demonstrate leadership in ethical, responsible business.
Frazer Lang, Chief Executive Officer of the Scottish Africa Business Association, said:
“We’re thrilled to welcome Diageo as partners for this year’s Scotland–Africa Networking Reception. Their long-standing commitment to Africa’s growth and to doing business responsibly makes them an ideal partner for SABA. We’re incredibly grateful for their continued support and look forward to another outstanding evening of connection and collaboration at Dover House.”
The Scotland–Africa Networking Reception will take place in November as part of SABA's Scotland London Africa Week.
