Our chairman John Paterson spoke recently in Nairobi at the LIWA Programme Trust Conference “Fostering Industry-Academia Linkages to Deliver Work, Ready Graduates”. The conference was attended by a number of senior government ministers as well as senior aca#demia and industry representatives.
John’s specific topic was “Creating Linkages through International Projects” and his key messages were: – governments, industry and academia can be a powerful combination – international linkages can provide depth and acceleration – stakeholder differences need to be acknowledged and managed – international projects amplify these differences – international partners have an opportunity cost – local clarity of needs enables engagement, momentum and delivery
