Together with our partner Global Trade Consult, we hosted the first in a series of Scotland - Ghana Skills Training and TVET Round Tables focussing across sectors such as energy, agriculture, automotive, tourism and STEM.
Although we knew there was a great interest from both countries in partnership and collaboration, we were quite taken aback by the reaction before, during and after.
With 15 SABA member Scottish institutions, 20+ Ghanaian and around 70 individuals represented, this felt like a real turning point in the relationship in this sector between our countries. We already know of over 35 post meeting engagements between institution's and we will now move towards smaller more targeted meetings culminating in a Scottish skills trade mission to Ghana in September 2024 - details being released shortly.
