It was a real pleasure for our CEO to speak on the Invest in Namibia panel at the excellent AFSIC - Investing in Africa event in London yesterday, and a huge thanks to Linda Scott and François van Schalkwyk for your invitation and trust in Scottish Africa Business Association
The panel, with included Kauna Ndilula, Tom Gray, Annika Brouwer and Ignacio Bustamante discussed green energy in the mining sector and why hashtag#Namibia is a country all investors should be looking at.
I was delighted to cover where opportunities existed for our members, and wider Scottish companies and organisations in hydrogen, renewables and net zero technology, including research partnerships.
There is a real buzz around Namibia and we look forward to launching our trade mission programme shortly and announcing dates for our next set of member meetings with the country which will include a follow up on hydrogen and renewable energy opportunities, agriculture and oil & gas including Scotland's role in decarbonising the sector.
