Scottish Africa Business Association welcomes Wings Global Travel as new corporate partner

The Scottish Africa Business Association (SABA) is pleased to announce its new corporate partnership with Wings Global Travel, a leading travel management company with a strong presence in both Scotland and Africa.  This collaboration marks a significant step forward in fostering international trade and business relations between the two regions.

SABA and Wings Global Travel share a common goal: to bridge the gap between Scotland and Africa, creating opportunities for businesses to thrive on both continents.  With SABA’s extensive network and expertise in facilitating trade and investment and Wings Global Travel’s comprehensive travel solutions and deep understanding of the African market, this partnership is set to unlock new avenues for growth for a number of Scottish businesses.

Seona Shand, Chief Operating Officer of SABA, expressed her enthusiasm about the partnership: “We are delighted to partner with Wings Global Travel.  Their commitment to excellence and their extensive footprint in Africa align perfectly with our mission to enhance trade and investment between Scotland and Africa. Together, we can provide unparalleled support to businesses looking to expand their horizons.”

International trade between Scotland and Africa is more crucial than ever. It not only drives economic growth but also fosters cultural exchange and mutual understanding. By leveraging the strengths of both regions, this partnership aims to create a robust platform for Scottish businesses to explore new markets, contribute to sustainable development, connect with counterparts and win new business.

In recent years, Scotland has seen a notable increase in exports of goods and services to several African countries.

Scotland exports a significant amount of food & drink to Africa, which remains the largest industry sector for Scotland’s international exports.  Additionally, there has been a growing interest in sectors such as renewable energy, technology and education & skills training, which are pivotal for sustainable development in many African nations.

"Wings Global Travel are proud of our new corporate travel partnership with the Scottish African Business Association.  With over 15 years of presence in Aberdeen, this partnership marks a new chapter in our growth and commitment to serving both regions." says Gary Povey, Chief Operating Officer, Wings Global Travel.

Frazer Lang of SABA, highlighted the significance of this collaboration: “International trade is the lifeblood of our economies.  By partnering with Wings Global Travel, we are enhancing our ability to support Scottish businesses in navigating the African market and vice versa. This partnership is a testament to our commitment to fostering global business relationships.”
