Edinburgh Napier University works to secure success for our students beyond university. Alongside leading academic theory you’ll find professional know-how and extensive industry connections. We work closely with our industry partners to develop and deliver our programmes, many of which are accredited or recognised by leading industry bodies.
We’re proud to say that the majority of full-time undergraduate courses include an opportunity for work-related learning and that our business incubator has supported more than 500 start-ups. It’s no surprise, then, that over 95% of our graduates are in work or further education within six months of graduating.
We offer a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in areas such as arts & media, business and computing, engineering, biosciences, social sciences and healthcare.
We are committed to providing the best possible teaching to our students. In 2018, we were awarded five stars for teaching in the QS Stars international university rankings. The 2019 National Student Survey (NSS), which rates final year students’ satisfaction with their university and course, saw four of our subjects in the UK top 10 and seven subjects with 90%+ satisfaction. We are a top 10 UK modern university for subjects including accounting and finance, civil engineering, English, music, and sociology (Complete University Guide 2020) and film production and photography, law, and sports science (Guardian University Guide 2020).
What’s more, our students live and study in the capital city of the most beautiful country in the world (Rough Guide, 2019). A UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to the world’s largest arts festival, Edinburgh is a buzzing, multicultural city, yet feels small, welcoming and safe. Edinburgh was also ranked the 2nd best UK city for students after London (QS, 2019).
Join Edinburgh Napier and you’ll become part of a global community of nearly 20,000 students studying in Edinburgh and with partners overseas, with a community in Edinburgh of 3,750 international students from more than 100 countries.
