PAST EVENTS
HIGH COMMISSIONER OF NAMIBIA VISIT
On the 30th October SABA held a private round table meeting with Her Excellency Linda Scott, High Commissioner of Namibia in central Edinburgh. Her Excellency covered a broad range of sectors followed by a Q&A.

UK AMBASSADOR TO TUNISIA VISIT
22nd -Â 23rd October 2019
our UK Ambassador to Tunisia, Louise De Sousa, will visit to discuss opportunities in Tunisia covering a range of sectors.
On the evening of the 22nd, SABA hosted a meeting and reception covering opportunities in oil & gas and renewable energy in central Edinburgh. The evening started with a presentation from Louise followed by a Q&A session and informal networking.
On the 23rd SABA organised a round table meeting focussing on agriculture and aquaculture with a presentation from Louise followed by a discussion on the opportunities for Scottish business and institutions.
TANZANIA BUSINESS VISIT TO SCOTLAND
24th – 25th June 2019
Following Her Excellency’s first visit to Scotland for the African Heads of Mission meeting in September last year, High Commissioner Dr Asha-Rose Migiro will lead a team to Edinburgh to follow up on the previous engagement and introduce Tanzania’s priority sectors in more detail.
The delegation will visit Edinburgh on the 24th and 25th June and will attend round table meetings on healthcare, renewables and oil and gas.
KENYA BUSINESS VISIT
April 2019
Organised and hosted by SABA, His Excellency Manoah Esipisu, High Commissioner for Kenya, and his trade team visited Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Glasgow meeting a range of Scottish ministers and officials, universities, business’ and business organisations to promote the opportunities for Scotland around the Kenyan Big 4 trade agenda.
Covering sectors such as health, oil & gas, education, infrastructure and manufacturing the trip has laid the foundations for an increase in engagement between our countries.
SOUTH AFRICA HIGH COMMISSIONER VISIT
January 2019
Her Excellency Nomatemba Tambo travelled to Glasgow for a day of private meetings with Scottish government and trade associations as well as a round table on opportunities for Scottish legal services firms in South Africa, arranged by SABA.
As a result of this engagement a legal services trade mission is due to travel to South Africa in September.
AFRICA HEADS OF MISSION MEETING
September 2018
At the request of the London African Union Heads of Mission Group, SABE arranged the successful Heads of Mission Meeting in September 2018 in Edinburgh. 17 Heads of Mission and their Commercial Teams attended: Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Zambia, Mozambique, Ethiopia, Malawi, Swaziland, Ghana, Senegal, Cote d’Ivoire, Angola, Cameroon, Gambia, Gabon and Sierra Leone.
